Pick up time: 05:30 am from Oct to March / 06:00 am from Apr to Sept (Hazyview) and drop off between 16h00-16h00pm.
This offer is ideal for Family Groups that have children younger than 8 years of age, a group of Photographers or special interest groups, like Bird Watchers etc.
Our 4×4 open vehicles are specially equipped for game drives with canvas roofs to protect you from the beating sun, but we still advise that you wear a hat and sunscreen in summer times, warm jackets in the Wintertime, as well as comfy shoes. We always have mineral waters on our vehicles to quench your thirst. Each vehicle can seat up to 10 people comfortably, but you can also hire an entire vehicle for only a few people on a Private Safari.
These safaris typically start at 5:30 in the morning and end around 16:00, but this is entirely up to the client. Private Vehicle Safaris can be arranged according to the client’s exact requirements. We can arrange for clients to be picked up from various hotels or lodges and, if desired, we will arrange accommodation in the Kruger National Park for the guests and drop them off at their place of accommodation after the safari has concluded. We normally enter the park through the following gates: Orpen, Crocodile Bridge, Malelane, Kruger, Numbi or Phabeni gate.
It is recommended that the safari starts as early as possible, as this is a great time of day for game viewing. Many of the wild animals have just started their search for food and water for the day. In general, animals are more active in the cool early mornings and prefer to wait out the midday heat under shady trees or in their burrows. Private Vehicle Safaris are guided by the guests, so if you know the Kruger National Park and you have a specific route in mind, we will take you where you want to go. In the case of specialised groups, you can tell your guide what it is that you hope to find or see, and your guide will know where the best spots for your request would be.
Breakfast and lunch packs can be arranged by your hotel or lodge and your guide will stop at a picnic spot of your choice or at any of the nearby campsites for breakfast and lunch. Alternatively, you can request to visit a restaurant of your choice at one of the rest camps.
Private Vehicle Safari Rates:
ZAR 3,820.00 per Vehicle for 1 – 4 clients.
ZAR 5,100.00 per Vehicle for 5 – 10 clients.
These rates include the tour guide, the fuel, and mineral waters, but excludes gratuity.
(Please note that clients will be required to pay their own conservation fees…)
Itinerary:
You will be collected at your Lodge between 5.30 – 06.00 am, please collect breakfast packs from the lodge, and you will return at about 16h00 after the safari.
Our office will confirm a pick-up time the day before with your lodge reception, however having your own vehicle means you are flexible to come and go as one pleases.
Legally we cannot do more than 10 hours per day, so will need to stay within this time limit.
The guide will stop for breakfast stops and lunch on clients own account, during the safari, rest camps have a great variety of meals to choose from.
Please bring with comfortable shoes, warm and rainproof jackets, sunhat, sun cream, cameras and personal belongings, the vehicles we use are open safari vehicles, however, they do have roofs for shade. Summers months can get very hot and also wet all on the same days.
International citizens: R400 pp children under 12 less 50%- R200 pp (Proof of identity necessary)
South African citizens: R100 pp children under 12 less 50%- R50 pp (Proof of identity necessary)
